Black men and the black public can't come forward! We cannot allow these uncle Tom's and these ancient mamas to continue selling us out to the white men.

Let me, for a while, express my sincere thanks to Lou Palmer for the opportunity to share briefly, and we should with some real degree of gratitude express thanks to Lou.

How can we ever forget his cry of free by 83? Now on the very first week of that crusade, the first casualty for Lou Palmer.

But it never bowed and the struggle continues for the marvelous soul.

Let's give Lou Palmer a great round of applause.

This great meeting that Lou is talking about by our son, Jonathan, is getting married so seriously.

Well, on tomorrow morning, I've been blessed to ask to preach at Salem Baptist Church of Reverend James Meeks at 10 o 'clock and 12 o 'clock services.

And you'll be in and out of those services, but we seek to gain that support on tomorrow.

And four o 'clock at St.

Mark's Church in Harvey.

A number of our allies are there.

I understand both of them, Lou.

That was another Joseph who had a dream of freedom, a dream of self -determination, a dream of power through land and freedom of religion and cultural expression.

He said one day that that our lead the nation and one day my family and my people will be free.

And because he dreamed of freedom, his dad said, shut up.

Those kind of dreams get you in trouble.

Look at a family of haymakers saying, I dreamed that one day I would be the secretary of agriculture.

A majority with a majority to dream.

One day I'll be secretary of agriculture and I will end up freeing the whole country and our people.

I mean, it seemed preposterous that some Joseph, some cotton picker, going to dream one day not only of getting out of the cotton field, but being the secretary of agriculture.

I mean, Joseph, their dreams of being the mayor, his first, the first attack on him is that, is that, Joe, why don't you first be the sanitation man, keep that clean if that's possible.

And if you do that real good, one day you go to state legislature, get real good, some of that will need to be congressman.

But Joe refuses to allow somebody else to assign him a dream.

You really can't let other people assign a dream because they will never assign you the dream of being governor.

I mean, you will never be assigned the dream of being a liberator.

You have to dream that all by yourself.

And then lastly, I put this out here because the reason why Joseph could not get angry with his brothers, the reason why he couldn't get angry with those who reacted and not supporting Joe publicly is because their real problem was it was not that they didn't like their brother Joseph.

Y 'all better hear this.

The real problem was they had become conditioned to slavery.

And, and Joseph's dream was disturbing their comfort zone.

You hear me little Palmer? Joe's dreams was disturbing their comfort zone.

His brothers had become conditioned to picking cotton.

So when he dreamed of breaking beyond that, that was his reaction.

And so those who have the victim's complex will find it difficult to embrace this dream.

But I tell men of whom I've talked with since that press conference this.

Freedom comes when the victim changes his mind.

Slave masters do not retire.

The enslaved have to change their minds.

Oppressors never grow weary of oppression.

The oppressed must change their minds.

The pimp will never change his mind.

The prostitute has to regain her character.

Those who are down must rise by changing their mind and we shall be transformed by the renewal of our minds.

We thank and praise God for sending along another Joseph, another dreamer who challenges us to rise above our circumstances.

We have the numbers and on February 28th, let Ma and Malcolm and Megah rejoice.

On February 28th, some will vote convenience, let us vote conscience.

They will vote fear, let us vote hope.

They will support those who said shoot to kill.

They'll vote for those who chose to organize a third party rather than support Hare Washington.
