Abstract
This home movie features the Faust family taking trips to Wisconsin with their friends the Wyckoffs and the Wilkersons in 1940, 1942, 1944 and 1945.
Description
In 1940, the Fausts vacation with their friends at “The Anchor,” the Wyckoff family's summer cottage on Lake Michigan near Belgium, Wisconsin. In 1942, they also visit Madison (where they boat on both Lake Mendota and Lake Monona, and visit the campus of the University of Wisconsin), Wisconsin Dells (where they take a boat tour of the Upper Dells), Lac du Flambeau Reservation, and Plymouth (featuring a billboard reading “WORLD'S CHEESE CENTER”). 1944 and 1945 are back in Belgium, shopping at Demge Bros. butcher shop, swimming in Lake Michigan, and drinking beer on the beach.
