Abstract
This reel features three amateur documentaries highlighting rural life on northern Illinois farms. The first film, Life on the Farm, was shot at William Freise's 160 acre dairy farm at Meacham Road and I-90 in rural Palatine (now Schaumburg) between 1949 and 1956. The second film, A Little About Carrots, was shot at a neighboring farm. The third work, The Story of Tomatoes, includes footage of another Palatine farm as well as the Campbell plant in Chicago at W 35th St and S California Ave. The films were shot and edited by Dick Guetl of Chicago.
