Abstract
Footage features murals in Little Village and Pilsen, which were newly created at the time by local artists. One mural depicts Ramón Emeterio Betances, who was a Puerto Rican independence advocate and medical doctor. There are a few murals that were commissioned with support from the Chicano Mural Group Chicago, and the Chicago Public Art Group. An elaborate mosaic mural created in 1980 is signed by artists Lynn Takata, Jose Guerrero, and John Pitman Weber.
