Abstract
Footage features murals in Little Village, Pilsen, West Town, and Humboldt Park, which were newly created at the time by local artists. The footage was shot for an unfinished documentary about the visual language of murals in Chicago's Hispanic communities.
Description
Features the mural Sise Puede by José Guerrero at 6:51, which was located in an alley by W 18th St and S Racine Ave.
Other locations featured include: Restaurant Gaby at W. 25th Street and S. St. Louis Ave at 1:16; the Little Village Arch at 3100 W. 26th Street at 2:10; the exterior of the Benito Juarez High School (now the Benito Juarez Community Academy) located at 2150 S. Laflin St., in Pilsen at 2:41; La Nueva Puerto Rico Corner Store at 2559 W. Augusta Blvd at 7:22.
