Abstract
In this footage, JoAnn Elam films a covered bridge and the nature surrounding it in the woods. The camera sometimes lingers on the bridge in a long shot or in a medium shot truncating parts of it, or it moves rapidly through the trees nearby. Until a child appears very briefly near the very end, one feels alone there, as one looks at natural beauty and even becomes immersed in it at times.
This covered bridge and the surrounding forest served as the setting for Elam's "3 Goats and a Gruff" (F.2011-01-0009) and was possibly shot around the same time (late 1960s).
