Description
Aud, the girl whose first communion is being celebrated, is shown outdoors wearing her white First Communion dress. Children and adults pose with her for the camera. Aud and the other children pose in a colorful flower garden. A white building with a hand lettered sign reading "Wild Horses" is shown, possibly Plentywood Farm in Bensenville, Illinois. There is an underexposed shot of the inside of the church.
The scene changes to overexposed shots of a car driving in a landscape, and of children playing with blocks and toys. In the next shot, a child is blowing out two birthday candles. Older children surround her. She opens presents.
In the next segment, children open presents next to the Christmas tree and hang up their stockings. There is a short shot of Christmas dinner with family.
The next segment depicts a very large outdoor easter egg hunt, where a crowd of many children seek eggs.
In the next scene, children are playing in the mud. Children and toddlers run and play in an outdoor setting.
Some older men leave a cabin with fishing supplies. There are shots of Star Lake and of them fishing. An older man boards a small airplane. There are many shots of the land from an aerial view.
There are many compiled shots of the family at Starved Rock State Park in LaSalle County, IL. There is a sign for Aurora Canyon.
The final segment begins with a shot of the Capitol building in Springfield, Illinois. A State of Illinois building with a sign naming Attorney General William G. Clark is shown. The Lincoln Tomb in Oak Ridge Cemetery is shown. A sign for the Lincoln's New Salem State Historic Site and an informational sign about the town is shown. Many compiled shots are shown of houses and animals in the town are shown.
