Abstract
Sponsored film made by Goldsholl Associates for the Chicago Public Schools about their Head Start program that provides services to preschool children and their families who have incomes at or below the Federal poverty level. The film mixes live action footage of Chicago neighborhood street scenes and CPS classrooms and sets these images to voiceovers and synced sound. Periodic voiceover narration provides the history and impact of the Head Start program, which began in 1964.
