The Old Town Art Fair is one of the oldest art fairs in the country. It began in 1950 and was established by the Old Town Triangle Association. The intention was to invite artistically inclined residents to display their work. The fair raised money to help improve the quality of life in the area, bringing better working conditions and recreational facilities to its residents.
