Abstract
A PSA sponsored by the Project: Straight Dope nonprofit organization. The ad features two young boys jumping over a fence into a park that is polluted with trash while a voiceover discusses the negative effects of environmental and bodily pollution. The Project: Straight Dope ad campaign was created in response to the increase of heroin overdoses in Cook County, which reportedly increased 45% from 1968 to 1969. The ad campaign, which is aimed at 8 to 11 year olds, was funded from a grant from the Illinois Law Enforcement Commission.
