Abstract
A charmingly humorous morality play by amateur filmmaker Margaret Conneely on the dangers of smoking. The film stars Margaret's then 11-year old son John, placing him under the thrall of a forgotten pack of Lucky Strikes.
Description
A man does some work on his car on the side of a road, then drives away having dropped a pack of cigarettes. A young boy comes out of the woods with a rifle and picks them up. He shoots a tin can off of a wall, then sits down and tries a cigarette. He chokes and coughs, throwing the cigarettes away. The deleterious effects of nicotine are displayed in a surreal riot of color, visually evincing the nausea of the first puff. The film closes with the boy leaning over the wall, coughing uncontrollably.
