Abstract
Follows the production of pork products from the farm to the table. Shows the history of hog farming in America, the raising of pigs, the selling of pigs at market, the abattoir, processing plant, the curing of bacon, making lard, shipping the meat via ocean liners, and a British girl enjoying bacon at breakfast. Produced for the U.S. Department of Agriculture for distribution abroad, in an effort to increase exports after a lag in sales.

Depicts Gunston Hall in Mason Neck, Virginia; Doughoregan Manor in Ellicott City, Maryland; pigs feeding on corn on Iowa and Illinois farms; pigs being transported via train; handling of hogs in Omaha's Cudahy stockyards; and cutting and smoking bacon in a packing plant in Chicago.
