A home movie depicting the marriage and honeymoon of Rev. Walter Elmer Wittman and Norma Lillian Sendelbach in Springfield, Ohio.
Description
Scenes at Wittenberg College (University), Springfield, Ohio. Seminary building, Hamma Divinity School, associated with the then United Lutheran Church in America. Groom graduated from Hamma (1945) and bride graduated from Wittenberg (1946). Bride Norma, coming out of the house of her parents, John A. and Freda Needles Sendelbach, going to their car. Exterior of Auburn Lutheran Church, Springfield, Ohio, guests waiting outside. Among the guests are Alfred Wittman, uncle of the groom, Marilyn and Elaine Skalla, cousins of the groom; Elmer F. and Erna S. Wittman, parents of the groom; Anna Knudten, grandmother of the groom; Erana Skalla, aunt of the groom; Marion and Carl Knudten, aunt and uncle of the groom; Thelma Moldenhauer, wife of the best man; and parents of the bride, John and Freda Sendelbach. Also Rev. Elmer and Erna Flack, seminary dean and a relative of the Wittman/Knudten families.

Bridesmaids and groomsmen: Martha Sendelbach , sister of the bride and maid of honor; George Moldenhauer, best man; Joyce Sendelbach, sister of the bride; Ruth E. Wittman, sister of the groom; and Paul Becker and Richard Hoeffler, groomsmen. Bride and Groom with parents.

Scenes of the couple in a rowboat fishing, catching very small fish. Norma walking around another formal garden (may be Rose Garden at Ella Sharp Park, Jackson, Michigan). Return to the cabin in Colon, showing local pastor and his wife and son, likely owners of the cabin. The local church was St. Paul Lutheran Church. Norma and Walter coming out of the cabin and towards the camera.
