Abstract
The first half of this film consists of an amateur melodrama, shot at a summer cottage in the Channel Lakes area near Antioch, Illinois. Rudolph Redlich's daughter Marylyn plays the heroine, who leaps to action when her beau (played by Marylyn's future husband, Kenneth "Pat" Patterson) is shot by a mysterious man riding a hydrocycle while the two share a rowboat. After Pat is rescued by a lifeguard (Bill Redlich), the three enlist family dog Patsy to help sniff out the would-be assassin. Hand-drawn intertitles are peppered throughout.
The second half of the film features scenes outside the Redlich family home at 6045 N. Maplewood in the West Ridge neighborhood of Chicago.
