Abstract
"Finding that I had access to a high-speed camera, it occurred to me... that a rip of 100 feet of film through the camera in a few seconds would readily indulge inertia when seen projected over a period of some minutes unless a considerable effort was made to force animation upon those seconds - a challenge to my problem.
I like to eat. The fantasy is that, unchecked, I might eat the universe as a great black-hole might - the Big Crunch as Armageddon - God consuming everything. A mouthful of everything, sprayed forth, but rendered in reverse provided Last Supper/Second Coming” -Tony Phillips
Shot on Fastax high-speed camera.
Ann Arbor Film Festival 1977. Selected for national tour of commercial theaters.
