Description
This film chronicles the life-cycle of Dutch spring bulbs. Flowers include tulips, hyacinths, daffodils, snowdrops and crocuses. Time-lapse photography documents a bulb's growth underground to its full blooming.
John Ott shot the film over a 28-month period in California and Chicago, and utilized up to six cameras at a time to provide the time-lapse photography. The film's completed form was accompanied by narration as well as an original orchestral score by Gene Forrell.
