Abstract
Loosely assembled footage features shots taken from the passenger’s side of a vehicle as it drives through Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood and turns onto the 18th Street entrance ramp leading to the Dan Ryan Expressway; members of the FOP Chicago Lodge No. 7 as they rally near the General John Logan Memorial in Grant Park; vast crowds as they gather in Grant Park to protest H.R. 4437, and hold up signs that declare, “We Are America,” “Keep Families United,” “QUEREMOS LEGALIZACION,” and “NO HUMAN BEING IS ILLEGAL”; flag burning in Grant Park; a United Airlines 727 jet as it is removed from a barge at Chicago’s 57th Street beach and towed across Lake Shore Drive toward its final destination at the Museum of Science and Industry on September 22, 1993; a variety of sea creatures as they swim throughout their tank exhibits at Shedd Aquarium.
