Sandra, scene ten, take one, roll two.

Did you hear that clap? Yeah, something.

Could you tell us about the change in the way people treat with school because you're an artist? At school now they treat me with a lot of respect.

They treat me more like an artist.

And they see my artwork, it's been growing, it's grown, it's changed, and they see that.

So now they treat me more like, just they look up to me sometimes and they say, well, gee, she's really trying hard and she's really making it.

So I think now they're treating me with a lot more difference, a lot more respect.

I think I did deserve that because I tried hard and they noticed that.

Could you talk a little bit about your desire to help people through your art? I've always wanted to help people through my art.

That was something that I've always wanted to do.

I needed someone to help me.

No one really was there for me.

And different artists that I would look at, different artists that I admired, their artwork would help me a lot.

So I think that's what I've always wanted to do.

I want to help someone just like they helped me.

They didn't really know they were helping me, but they did, and hopefully I can do the same.

Could you talk a little bit about what you see as the importance of art in the community? Is it important? Yeah, I think it is important.

If there wasn't any art, see art to me, it lets people know what's happening in the community.

It lets people know how the community is doing, if it's doing well, or if people aren't into politics, things like that.

That's what I felt I did.

And I feel that if there weren't murals or if there was an art, people wouldn't exactly know what was going on, what was going on in a person's head or things like that.

Somehow I think it brightens it up and it just helps everyone.

I don't know exactly what it is though.

I don't know what it is just when I look at a mural.

And I think that when people look at it, it does change things.

It changes people's perspective.

It changes just their thoughts of the community.

Okay, and then finally I wanted to ask you about yourself reflecting the mural.

You said before that you wanted people to look at the mural and say, know something about you.

As in murals, as in my own artwork, I want a person, the viewer, to know who I am.

I want the person to want to go inside the mural, walk inside, just feel it and feel the energy that I want to portray.

Or feel the thought that I'm thinking and feel just exactly what I'm feeling.

And it's always been important to me to let the viewer know what was going on in my mind and in my heart and just what was just going on in my life.

I've always wanted to do that with murals and that's why I'm starting to get more involved in it because I want people to know exactly how I feel.

And I want them to feel it with me.

If I'm tense or if I'm upset, I want them to feel that way.

If I'm happy, let them feel happy.

That's just a part of me and that's what I wanted to share with people.
