Abstract
An Encyclopedia Britannica Film educating the viewer about how our voice works. The concepts of respiration, phonation and articulation are illustrated through animated drawings, props and close up footage of people speaking.

A woman in a doctor’s office exhibits the role of the larynx with an ECU of the larynx in motion. Drawings and an X-ray view demonstrate the breathing role of the lungs, ribcage and diaphragm. MS and CU of a swimmer out of breath.
