Abstract
Loosely assembled footage presents the following: historian Louis "Studs" Terkel introduces filmmaker Michael Moore on stage in Millenium Park to talk about the health insurance industry and to promote Moore's latest film Sicko (2007) on June 21, 2007; a sequence interspersed with time-lapse photography documents Reverend Jesse Jackson as he marches with his arm around an Iraqi war veteran’s shoulders and crowds of anti-war protestors rally in Grant Park and march toward McCormick Place to protest the NATO summit held there on May 20-21, 2012; filmmaker Bill Stamets comically interviews a pen of pigs; people gather on the shore of Lake Michigan in a group meditation; Mayor Richard M. Daley, Auxiliary Bishop and Grand Marshal Timothy Lyne, the Shannon Rovers Irish Pipe Band, Cook County Treasurer Edward Rosewell, Cook County Board of Commissioners candidate Pat Capuzzi, and State Senator Ted Lechowicz participate in the downtown St. Patrick’s Day Parade as it moves along Dearborn Street on March 17, 1990.
