Abstract
A finished film by Bill Stamets which depicts several events held in Geneva, New York.
Footage includes the Roanoke Maroons’ victory over the Hobart Statesmen in the NCAA Division II lacrosse championship played at Boswell Field on May 20, 1978; a visit to the local Mello-Rich ice cream stand; the Geneva High School band plays “Taps”; the Geneva Theater’s marquee advertises for the 10-day Geneva Festival ‘78; members of Sons of Veterans Reserve and Troops of the Confederate Forces convene in Seneca Lake State Park; Sidman, PA resident Andrew Brunnet dresses like Abraham Lincoln; an air show takes place; the Sweaty Tools band performs; marching bands move along Seneca Street; a Memorial Day ceremony takes place in Pulteney Park on May 29, 1978.
