Okay.

That's in Chicago.

What I've done is I took your birth date ahead of time.

So let's add your name in here.

And you were born September 5th, 1952 at 524 a .m.

And this is central daylight time.

We've got your chart out.

Now let me show you.

Basically, we're imagining you born right in the middle.

And this is what the solar system looked like at the exact moment you were born.

This is the east, the south, the west, and the north.

So as we're seated right now, the chart would actually be positioned like this.

Okay.

If you would have looked directly at the eastern horizon at the exact moment you were born, you would have found the constellation of Virgo coming up off this eastern horizon.

Now you were born at 524 a .m.

in September.

So it's logical that the sun should have been below the eastern horizon.

Jupiter, the planet Jupiter, was straight overhead and visible.

The moon was starting to go down on the western horizon.

So that was starting to set.

It was still about an hour and a half from setting, but it was starting to move down toward the west.

Most people know what their sun signs are.

And we equate it with the 12 signs of the zodiac.

And this is what we see in the newspapers every day.

That's not astrology.

Basically, what it's saying is it's entertainment at best.

It's basically saying one -twelfth of the world is going to have this happen to them today.

And it's garbage.

Oh, hello.

I didn't realize I had company.

I'm just sitting here waiting for my beau.

He should be here any minute now.

I've got this romantic candlelight dinner planned for tonight.

We'll have lobster and angel hair pasta and champagne, of course.

Oh, and then for dessert, chocolate and raspberry truffles.

I think that a lot of people then are misinformed about astrology and the depth that it can really go to in terms of understanding human psyche and human personality.

So it's real hard for me to say, well, what about a Taurus? What about a Gemini? I mean, I can tell you something about those qualities, but it doesn't relate to any one of our charts because we've all got a sun sign, a moon sign, Mercury, Venus, and Mars.

We all have 10 planets.

Each planet represents a different aspect of our unconscious.

And most of all, what a horoscope is, is the relationship of those planets one to each other.

To tell you the truth, I didn't actually cook the dinner.

I picked it up at this wonderful little gourmet shop down the street.

Cooking's such a hassle, you know, all those pots and pans to clean up.

And besides, I just got a manicure today.

I'm going to be one to ruin my nails.

I've been interested in the idea of astrology and theater for a number of years.

If we go back in history, basically the origins of Greek theater was this idea of using the astrological archetypes in a theatrical setting.

So I've been really turned on to the idea of trying to bring Greek myth or the mythology of Greeks back into a theater setting.

And I started last year, I've had like 10 years of theater experiences in terms of directing little performance pieces, but I started with a group and our group is called the Rising Stars.

We started last May and it was a group of actors, astrologers, and therapists.

And what we did was basically we went through the 12 signs of the zodiac.

So we got a little performance piece for Aries, Taurus, Gemini, for each of the pieces.

And what we did was we would just say Aries and we brainstormed themes.

So what the pieces actually are is the result of the actors actually, it's their creativity.

It's not my creativity.

So we put together these little vignettes.

Some of them are very, very funny.

And so we've got now a performance piece of the 12 signs that group can hire us.

You know, like meeting planners can hire us to come in and do these little 12 vignettes for groups or women's luncheons or spouse programs.

And then I've also done phase two of Rising Stars, which is the planets.

And what we had them do was for an eight -week time period, each of them identified a planet that they wanted to work with.

I got them in touch with that planet in their lives right now.

What was going on? Venus, what was going on with her love relationships right now? In case you haven't guessed already, I'm Venus, Aphrodite, goddess of love.

I am the feminine power of attraction.

But I know that you work so hard sometimes that you forget about me.

And so every once in a while, I feel the need to remind you that I'm still around.

I really think integrity is really important.

I think there's a lot of people getting into astrology, i .e.

900 numbers, and I've called some of them myself that basically either don't have the tools to really give you a good astrological consultation or people that are strictly in it for the money.

My advice is certainly for people getting into the field, it's really important that you do your homework on your own chart, that you really know who you are, that you really understand the dynamics of your full personality.

Get into therapy, do some kind of intensive inner work as a means of really getting to know yourself because through getting to know yourself and learning how to relate to yourself, you'll be learning how to relate to clients.

You probably take the same bus to work every day or ride the same elevator up to your office.

People come and go and no one makes any impression on you really until one day you're on the elevator and you realize that you're standing next to the person of your dreams and your heart starts to beat a little faster and your breath starts to get very shallow and all of a sudden you realize that you've gotten very, very hot and somehow you get up enough courage to look in their direction and you make eye contact and for one very brief moment you look deeply into one another's eyes and your heart's really pounding now and inside you're thinking, I'm in love.

You know what I mean, don't you? An astrologer's role, a good role, is that you are, you try to elucidate a person's situation as clearly as you can for them and to give them options as to courses of action.

My job is not to decide for people, should I do this, should I do that.

That's their job and their responsibility.

So what a good astrologer does is to give you the information to try to frame what things look like right now to help you understand your life and then to give you options that you make the choice then which way you need to go.

Fellow psychologist Carl Jung probably had a really good influence on my life.

He was probably, besides Freud, the most eminent psychologist of the century and he very much got into astrology.

He called astrology the map of the psyche.

So it was interesting to me that here was this psychologist who also used astrology and saw the validity of astrology.

So I started studying Carl Jung also about 10 years ago.

I do an average of four to five clients a day and many of my clients I have a history with.

They're people that I've done work for for eight to nine, ten years, some of them.

So I know their life story and it's really nice to be able to touch base with people once every couple months or once every six months and have them share their life with me and then we look at it from the astrological perspective in terms of what's going on right now in their life and what can we imagine might be coming up in terms of how the symbols are reading out in the next six months or the next year of their life.

But that's not the only time I'm in your life.

I'm there whenever you decide to volunteer to help the elderly or to serve dinner to the homeless on Christmas Day and I'm there in that very special love that a mother feels for her newborn child and I've been there all along at the Middle East Peace Talks although I'm never really quite sure anyone's listening to me there.

Oh there's the doorbell.

I really should be going but before I do I just want to remind you of one thing and that is that I am always with you even at those times when you feel that you're all alone in the world or when you feel that your heart is breaking.

I'm there and all you need to do to feel my love is to allow me into your heart.

Allow me to touch you and to love you.

Oh there's the bell again.

I really should go now.

I don't want to keep him waiting too long.

To love.
