Hey, Volkswagen? What do you think of it? Good car.

Oh, I think they're a wonderful car.

Well, I think they're a nice little car.

Well, there's enough of them on the road, and I think they're buying them.

They're everywhere.

I see one right there, and I'm looking at it.

I like the Volkswagen.

I have one myself.

Well, I like it fine.

Why not? I just don't like it.

What kind of car do you drive? A Ford.

Poor man's car.

Well, I understand that the VW is even less expensive.

Not interested.

You want an honest answer? Yeah.

I don't like them.

Why? Because they dart in and out of traffic in front of me.

Great for zipping in and out of traffic.

We could get it in places where you couldn't get big cars.

Like I said, it's really easy to drive.

Have you ever driven one? Nope.

I have no intentions, I have no desire.

They always start.

They go anywhere, anytime.

Take you where you want to go.

It gets you there on time.

Well, we went back to Kansas one time when it was snowing and my son and I, we just went right straight on through and all the other cars were off the side of the road.

It was too small.

I like a bigger car.

I like the station wagons.

Well, that might do.

How many does that accommodate? Enough to make it good.

Be a great Christmas present.

Put it under the tree.

They're nice little cars and big cars.

I don't want it for a gift.

So obviously it has appeal.

And just waving to a few friends of mine that own a Volkswagen by the way.

And although I don't own one, I bought one for my son when he got out of college.

What's this going on, TV or something? Are we going to be on television? I don't know.

He's right under the hood over there.

We're just getting people's opinions on the VW.

We haven't even been on the VW.

No, the Volkswagen.

I sell Cadillacs.

You don't want an interview with me for Volkswagen? Why not? Because I like a Cadillac.

Well, you know, I want luxury cars.

To be very honest with you, I own a luxury car.

A couple luxury cars.

But I think the car I'd be interested in getting would be the van with the camper in interior.

The camper is really great.

But I like the bug myself.

I just think they're cute.

I think they're cute.

It's kind of ugly but pretty.

I don't like the looks.

I don't like the car.

Oh, they're quite comfortable.

I got a ride in two Volkswagens, 69 miles and it was great, all the way.

Is that true? That's true.

We traveled over to LA in a Volkswagen.

Four of us knew it was comfortable.

I love the price.

And I love the operating costs.

Very economical.

One, the economy.

I am a student.

And I'm living on the GI Bill right now.

And so it's very hard for me to live on that.

But if I didn't have the bug to drive, I'd be lost.

So when my old 47 Dodge wears out and I drive back and forth to school here, I think I'll go back and get me a Volkswagen.

Next car I get will be a Volkswagen.

Same kind I've got now.

They're cool cars.

I think they're far out cars.

I really dig them.

Well, I think they're the greatest little car that they've ever made.

Two years ago in England, when I was back there, there was a long article appeared in the paper that they were going to change the Volkswagen.

They were going to make so many improvements on it.

And they were going to dress it up to such an extent that I wrote to the company and I said, please don't change it.

It's wonderful just the way it is.
