Abstract
Home movies taken by Mervin LaRue Sr. of a 1949 trip back to Ontario. The family had previously lived in Canada from 1916 to 1926, while Mervin Sr. worked for the newsreel production company Pathé News. In this film, Mervin Sr. and wife Jo can be seen watching the sun set on Lake Superior, posing in front of a car parked on the beach, and playing games of shuffleboard and croquet with friends (possibly members of the Fruh family).
