Abstract
Loosely assembled footage depicts the second democratic primary debate between Jane Byrne, Harold Washington, and Richard M. Daley held at the Conrad Hilton Hotel in February 1983, and further media coverage of the mayoral campaigns for Byrne, Washington, and Bernard Epton. Footage also includes sculptor Richard Hunt as he presents illustrations of his Harold Washington medallion design, the annual pasta-eating contest, “Pasta Pandemonium,” underway at Lawrence of Oregano Italian restaurant, a publicized swimming stunt held in Daley Plaza Fountain, an anti-PLO demonstration, the City Council vs. City Hall reporters softball game in Lincoln Park, and several parades.
