Abstract
Edited film about President Li Xiannian and an accompanying delegation of Chinese government officials as they tour Chicago while on a nuclear technology business trip. Footage includes the delegation’s departure from their stay at the Drake Hotel, their trip to a Chicago White Sox vs. Baltimore Orioles baseball game at Comiskey Park on July 25, 1985, political activists as they demonstrate against Communist China, the delegation’s tour through the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, and Li's inauguration of Chinese consul-general Huang Zhirong with Mayor Harold Washington present on July 26.
