The feedbacks of what has been taking place across their country through the Here's Life movement in order to say to the world that Korean Christians mean business for God.

It's a real delight to pray for our nation and know that God hears our prayers.

Lord, we just love you.

It is happening as George Orwell predicted over 30 years ago.

We'll go back to our cities.

And in the days ahead, we'll fill the streets of our cities with millions of Christians.

The Christian community is here.

The community wants us to be one.

I don't know if you are all right with this.

What's doing in life now? How long he lived on earth? We challenge those Christians who have come to Washington this week to Christianize government, who set up one religion or any religion as the sole criterion with which to judge a political issue as moral or godly or Christian and others as immoral, sinful or ungodly.

The Jesus that my tradition speaks of never said, come unto me all ye heterosexuals, preferably white, male and middle class and American, and I will give you rest.

Jesus said, come unto me all.

And I believe that it is a deep offense to God and to the human community when people use a pious veil of religiosity to promote right -wing political causes.

This is an agenda which they are free to adopt for themselves, but to attempt to force it on a pluralistic nation as diverse as ours would do untold damage to individual liberty and the precepts upon which this nation was founded.

As a Pentecostal theologian, I believe in salvation.

We're here to answer questions, not to have your finger pointed at us, and I wish you would have a little bit more respect.

If everything is not political, perhaps everything is in some way religious.

Does Satan explain Iran, Watergate, Soviet Union arms buildup? No, Satan doesn't, but I think the difficulties our country are in has to do with the fact we've lost our moorings, our spiritual moorings, and we've made some egregious blunders and have gotten ourselves into some difficult situations, and I pray that God will help us get out of them.

So there's not a religious explanation for the ills of the world, as opposed to political ones? I unfortunately don't have the time to give it.

Would you prefer that all this talk would have been done in religious terms instead of political terms? I don't want to give simplistic answers to difficult questions.

That is a very difficult question.

The complicated interrelationships of nations and so forth, it's just impossible to give an off -the -cuff answer.

Footage includes the following: Christian evangelist Nicky Cruz and Christian musician Nancy Honeytree both appear on stage at the youth concert held at Robert Kennedy Memorial Stadium on the evening of April 28; anti-nuclear war protestors attend the rally at the National Mall; Christian evangelist Pat Robertson delivers a speech; police display a “COPS FOR CHRIST” banner; Bill Stamets interviews his mother, Patty Stamets; members of the ad hoc coalition April Alliance, including Rev. David H. Eaton, Dr. Charles V. Bergstrom, and Anne B. Turpeau, attend a press conference on the morning of April 29, 1980 to champion the separation of church and state, and to question the “Washington for Jesus” rally organizers’ underlying intentions; rally organizers Pat Robertson, Dr. Bill Bright, and Rev. John Gimenez promote the “Washington for Jesus” rally at a press conference in the afternoon of April 29, 1980.
