Abstract
Home movies by Mervin LaRue Jr. of his children Michèle ("Chell"), age 9, Jacqueline ("Jack"/"Jacqui"), age 6, and William Bryan ("Billy"), age 3, drumming on tin cans and playing outside. The brown-haired girl wearing glasses, seen holding a box of Camel cigarettes (Mervin Jr.'s preferred brand), is Michèle. Mervin Jr.'s wife LaVere (Wellington) LaRue would bring her family to her parents' home in Lake City, Iowa for part of each summer. The other footage on this reel was taken at the Wagon Wheel Lodge, a restaurant-gift complex, and features a group vacation with members of Mervin Jr.'s close friend group, the "Goons."
