We have a presentation here composed of Hispanic groups and also members of the Asian community that will make a statement regarding the statement made by Jane Byrne last week regarding aliens.
We have a couple of statements and representatives from the Korean community and the Vietnamese community in Cambodians.

We Korean Americans are seriously offended by the slanderous statement Jane Byrne made on selected minority groups including Korean Americans along other minorities.
The integrity of the Korean community is at stake.
It is not fair for a mayor candidate or anyone for that matter to single out Hispanics and Asians in particular at a discussion on city crime.
Let it be known that neither Hispanics nor Asians are criminals but Jane Byrne committed a serious moral and ethical crime by blaming hardworking innocent citizens for crime.
We Asian Americans challenge Jane Byrne's sincerity for human justice and equality.
The numerous studies show that Asian Americans are least involved in criminal acts but are rather victims of it.
The industrious Asian Americans are contributors to the revitalization of the city's neighborhood.
Korean Americans cannot rest until Jane Byrne's statement is explained and justice done.
Therefore, we firmly join Hispanic community and other concerned citizens in protesting Jane Byrne's ignorant and insensitive attitude toward minority, if not racially, motivated.
We strongly demand that Jane Byrne make a public apology to the Korean community and Asian community for the defamatory statement she made.
We urgently call for the support of the citizens to stand for the common goal of obtaining justice and equality in the city of Chicago.
