Loosely assembled footage documents Steve Dahl’s Breakfast Club radio show broadcast on WLUP The Loop FM 98 from the Clouds Room located on the 23rd floor of the Allerton Hotel, 701 N. Michigan Ave. Scenes include Dahl’s recollection of Disco Demolition Night at Comiskey Park during the prior week; Steve Dahl & Teenage Radiation’s performance of “Coho Lip Blues”; several interviewees on the street as they contemplate Dahl’s anti-disco crusade; Dahl as he attempts to break a disco record by repeatedly smashing it upon his head and then against a flagpole stand held by cohost Gary Meier while a live audience chants, “COHO!”; Dahl’s reflection on broadcasting the Steve Dahl Breakfast Club show at the Allerton Hotel as the best three weeks of his career. Brief footage also includes several outdoor musical performances, a parade featuring a Department of Health float, and a televised Channel 7 news interview with Governor James Thompson and First Lady Jayne Carr Thompson as they express their enthusiasm toward attending one of the Bee Gees shows on July 30 & 31, 1979 at Chicago Stadium.
