Abstract
Loosely assembled footage shows a display board that advertises for a sculpture exhibition in Printers Square Park from September 1 - October 3, 1984; unspecified footage of Mayor Harold Washington present at a dinner event; a food, music, and dance event taking place along N. Milwaukee Avenue (likely the Bucktown Summer Fest). Succeeding footage of the Chinatown Summer Fair held on August 12, 1984 documents the event’s food, marching bands, dragon floats, fireworks, an appearance by Senator Charles Percy, various Wentworth Avenue storefronts including the Moon Palace Restaurant, Haylemon Restaurant, Three Happiness Cantonese Cuisine, and Won Kow, as well as the Sanitary Fish & Oyster Co. at 1127 W. Argyle Street.
