William Dotter particularly who has brought this beautiful boat, the Red Lion, as our backdrop today, and to thank him again for bringing it last year, but we didn't have quite as many people.

I want to thank Mr.

John Cutler of the Yacht Club for all the help that he has given us and for all the work he has done on this event for many years.

I want to thank the entire boating community of Chicago for making it possible for us to have Venetian night at all.

The Park District, Mr.

Kelly and Jerry Pfeiffer for all the work that they are putting in on this event.

Commodore William Robinson and Commodore Sal Mather and also all of the people that I forgot.

I'm sure that John Cutler will help me out when I'm finished.

We know that Venetian night will be a very special event this year.

As some of you may know or may not know, we changed the night to Friday the 17th because there is going to be a thunderstorm on Saturday the 18th.

We have the Park District, the Yachting Association and the Mayor's Office of Special Events working overtime and together and happily to make sure that there are boats, fireworks, a water ski show and a colored water show by the fire department and even this year additional entertainment in the form.

How long have you been doing this? About two years.

And you feel there's a big future here? A big future.
