Abstract
Loosely assembled footage depicts the 1988 Iowa caucus campaigns by Democratic presidential candidates Congressman Dick Gephardt, Reverend Jesse Jackson, Senator Al Gore, Senator Paul Simon, Governor Bruce Babbitt, Governor Michael Dukakis, and former Senator Gary Hart, as well as campaigns by Republican presidential candidates Reverend Pat Robertson and Congressman Jack Kemp.

Shots include the following: Democratic candidates prepare on stage during the debate held at Hoyt Sherman Place, Des Moines on September 27, 1987; Gary Hart and his wife Lee canvass through a shopping mall; Robertson visits a pig farm; Kemp attends a campaign event at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Des Moines, and greets supporters inside the Ritz Restaurant in Dyersville; Gephardt visits the KLBA 1370 radio station and a local cafe in Albia; Babbitt bicycles across Iowa; camera crews document campaign activity at the It’ll Do Lounge in Denison.
