Description

This is a corporate image film scripted and produced for Goodyear Tire and Rubber by Wilding Picture Productions. The story is told from the imaginary perspective of 2001, looking back at 1961. In 2001, company sales are lagging, and the executives pursue a quick and easy solution by plugging numbers into a machine. However, the director explains that technology simply cannot substitute for human imagination and ingenuity. He shows the executives how in 1961 human understanding and hard work were most conducive for business solutions. Factors discussed include: quality, engineering, price and sales training. This triggers the executives to pursue solutions based on people, not just numbers.
