Abstract
A home movie shot at the 1948-1949 Chicago Railroad Fair, which took place on Chicago's lakefront and was organized to celebrate and commemorate 100 years of railroad history west of Chicago. The film begins with a shot of the entrance of the fair followed by various fair scenes, including footage of "The Whistle Stop Restaurant," Burlington Route "Vacationland" and a southwest themed area sponsored by the Sante Fe Railroad. The film ends with scenes of a live performance, or pageant, shot from the stands. The creator and origins of this home movie are unknown at this time.
