Abstract
This home movie, shot on super 8mm, begins with scenes from a camping trip with family and friends at a lake in Wisconsin. Robert Dockum's young children (Todd, J.R. and Leah) are shown. The last portion of the film was shot at the Butler County Fair, where Dockum's mother ran a booth annually for The Grange.
Description
The footage opens to a shady campsite; a toddler can be seen playing and a women is pictured close by, hanging clothes to dry. The next shot caputres a smoldering fire as well as the rest of the family members gathered around a nearby picnic table. The following shots feature a couple of men posing and smiling in front of a lake.Then, we are taken inside a dark living room, the camera continues to capture the small toddler dancing in a long blue dress.The film concludes at the Butler County Fair.
