Abstract
This travel film by Mort and Millie Goldsholl is from around 1964, when the couple visited the city of Hiroshima in Japan. It shows the Hiroshima Peace Memorial, also known as the Atomic Bomb Dome, which commemorates the atomic bombing that occurred there on August 6, 1945, and honors its victims. Tourists may be seen walking around and gardeners tending to the park. At the end, the footage includes views of a mountain from a boat. More travel films by the Goldsholls are held in the Chicago Film Archives collections.
