Abstract
Based on labeling on tape at the end of the roll, this appears to be footage shot of and by Mort and Millie in 1941 on their first vacation. Shot in Lake Placid, New York in the Adirondack Mountain region, the footage shows a young Millie and Mort skiing and having fun in the snow. Millie appears to be taking skiing lessons from an older gentleman, and can be seen learning how to make snowplow turns. There are a couple of shots of the snowy landscape and mountains, a shot of the couple rushing through the doors of the Hotel Marcy, and evidence of the aftermath of a playful snowball fight. The last shot is of Mort iceskating outdoors. This is one of the earliest titles in the Goldsholl Collection.
