Description

Sandi Freeman (Friday Feast Eyewitness News, WLS-TV Channel 7) interviews Pat DeLuca, co-owner of Mama DeLuca’s Restaurant at 1612 N. Sedgwick St. in Chicago’s Old Town neighborhood. The film begins in the family restaurant’s kitchen as DeLuca demonstrates preparation of his recipe for spaghetti and meatballs, while Freeman takes notes. Once seated at one of the dining room tables with a feast spread out, Freeman announces for the program’s teaser trailer, “Tonight on Friday Feast, we’re going Sicilian!” With the camera still rolling, Freeman, DeLuca, his wife and co-owner Mildred DeLuca and several other guests sit down together. Upon being hailed by Freeman, camera operator Frank Koza steps forward and digs into the meal with the rest.
