Abstract
Black and white outtakes featuring Prescott Bush, the Chairman of the Republican Platform Committee, making a speech to the Committee ahead of the Republican Convention in 1956. He states that the aim of the next convention is not to smear the Democrats, but to be honest to the people and stop double-talk and evasion. The footage also features a subcommittee on civil rights and immigration and two gentlemen making their recommendations to the committee. Prescott Bush is the father of George H.W. Bush and grandfather of George W. Bush, both future U.S. presidents.
