Abstract
Silent and sound black and white outtakes of former U.S. president Harry Truman going to visit Sam Rayburn at the Baylor Medical Centre in Dallas, Texas. Truman takes part in a press conference, but most of this is missing from this outtake reel. He says he’s just come to see Sam, not to talk to the press, but he knows that the press need to talk to him. Sam Rayburn was the 43rd Speaker of the House of Representatives. He died of cancer on November 16, 1961.
