Abstract
The Sheraton Towers Hotel is prepared for Nelson Rockefeller’s arrival in Chicago.
Description
The film begins with a tour of the interior of the Presidential Suite, Room 3109, apparently
at the Sheraton Towers Hotel, 505 Michigan Ave, Chicago. A large banner hanging from the exterior of the Sheraton Towers reads, “Welcome Governor Rockefeller”. This was likely shot just before Rockefeller’s arrival in Chicago concurrent with the Republican National convention held July 25-28, 1960. The remainder of the film follows Rockefeller supporters as they distribute campaign buttons and post “Win with Rockefeller” signs.
