Two unbeaten powerhouses of the Big Ten clash at Iowa City, Iowa before a crowd of 57 ,000.

The underdog Badger of Wisconsin take the field against the Hawkeyes of Iowa.

The first half of the standoff with both sides scoring one touchdown each.

In the second half, the Hawkeyes catch fire behind the brilliant running of Wilbur and Hollis.

This sweep carries Iowa deep into Badger territory.

Then Hollis tries the other side of the field.

He gets the jump on the defenders and goes all the way.

32 yards to put Iowa out in front 14 to 7.

In the fourth period, Hollis shows he can pass as well as run.

James Winston gathers in the toss for a 30 yard pick up.

Hollis fakes and heads for the outside once again.

He uses the straight arm to help gain the last few yards and the touchdown that seems to put Iowa out of reach 21 to 7.

The Badgers however are far from beaten.

Ron Miller's toss to Tom Wheaton is good for 50 yards and leaves Wisconsin only 20 yards from pay dirt.

Miller goes back to pass.

And he bulls through the middle, almost goes all the way.

He stopped on the five.

A handoff to halfback Merritt Norvell picks up the necessary yardage.

The Badgers score on trail by only one touchdown.

A recovered fumble gives Wisconsin a chance to tie.

Miller's pass to Ron Hustaly picks up valuable yardage.

The handoff goes to Norvell.

He's over for the touchdown.

It's Wisconsin 21, Iowa 21.

There's little more than a minute remaining when Wisconsin punch to Iowa.

Larry Ferguson runs it back.

Fighting for every yard.

And now a weird sensational play.

Hollis winds up for a 39 yard toss.

It's deflected in the end zone, but Sam Harris makes a falling pass to give unbeaten Iowa a stunning 28 -21 victory.

Telenews newsreel with highlights from a 1960 football game between the Wisconsin Badgers and the Iowa Hawkeyes in Iowa City, Iowa. Both teams were undefeated coming into the match. After a late-game rally from Wisconsin to tie the game, Iowa came out on top 28-21 after a last-minute touchdown throw from quarterback Wilburn Hollis to Sammie Harris. Hollis' performance earned him National Back of the Week honors from the Associated Press, and Iowa was elevated to the No. 1 ranking in the nation after the win. The Hawkeyes would go on to win the Big Ten title that year, and Hollis became one of the first African-Americans to earn All-American honors at quarterback.
