Abstract
A comedic home movie featuring Frank Koza Sr. playing a doctor, using props to pretend to give a physical exam to his wife, Albina. He then writes a prescription and produces a glass of medicine - beer.
Description
Frank Sr. walks into the kitchen and takes off his overcoat and hat. His wife, Albina, is seated at the kitchen table which is covered with several empty beer bottles. Frank reaches into his bag and produces several props, including a rope, towel, and alarm clock, and pretends to measure Albina’s blood pressure. He uses a hammer to test her reflexes and checks her eyes. He then pretends to write a prescription, reaches into his bag, and produces the medicine, a small glass of beer, which Albina samples.
A calendar on the wall shows two months, which are evidenced to be January and February since the calendar’s second month has 28 days. February 1 is shown to be on a Tuesday which suggests this film was likely made in January/February 1949.
