Custodial History
The films were shot by Joseph Krammer and his son Richard. The films came into Richard's wife Heni's possession after he passed in 2017. Heni, along with her and Richard's daughters Jodi, Jackie, and Terri, donated the films to Chicago Film Archives in 2022.
Access Restrictions
Appointments must be made with Chicago Film Archives for on-site access. Due to the fragile nature of the films, only video copies will be provided for on-site viewing.

Creators
Krammer, Joseph (was created by)
Joseph Krammer was born ca. 1902 to Paul and Mrs. Krammer. He married Mary LeBrint in 1931, and they raised their two sons Richard and Allan at 3560 W Hollywood Ave in the North Park neighborhood of Chicago. He was proprietor of Krammer Fur Company, first at 116 S Dearborn, later in the North American Building at 36 S State Street and eventually 190 N State. He died in 1962 at age 60.
Krammer, Richard (was created by)
Richard 'Dick' Krammer was born in Chicago ca. 1932 to Joseph and Mary (LeBrint) Krammer. He had one brother, Allan. Dick married Heni (Roter) Krammer in 1953, and they had three daughters (Jodi, Jackie, and Terri), who they raised in Skokie, IL. He owned Original Krammer Furs at 190 N State St in Chicago, a business founded by his father and his uncle David. He loved to travel and document his trips with his family. Dick was active in Jewish United Fund, Masonic Lodge, and the Illinois Holocaust Museum. He passed away in 2017 at age 85.
