A collection of 16mm home movies shot between 1958 and 1962 by John Hake. The films depict John's hunting and camping trips, vacations, and home life in Grand Rapids, Michigan with his wife Mildred Hake and their daughters Libi, Marcy, Ellen, and Sudie.

The films were stored in Elizabeth Hake's home from 1979, when she inherited them from her father, until she donated them to Chicago Film Archives in 2025.

John Hake was born in 1909 and was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In 1946 he married his wife Mildred. They had four daughters: Marcy, Ellen, Sudie, and Libi. John owned an insurance company and was an avid pilot, hunter, and skier as well as a photographer. He died in 1979.
