Arthur F. Senior (1888 - 1955) resided in Homewood, Il most of his adult life. He worked as the Field Officer Representative for the Public Service Co. of Northern Illinois, which at the time was located in downtown Chicago.

Senior, who was nicknamed "Mr. Homewood" and "Pops," founded the Homewood Chapter of the Izaak Walton League - an environmental organization that originated in Chicago - and was instrumental in construction of the Homewood Izaak Walton Preserve. He also resided as Chairman or member on many local boards: Bond drives during WWll, Homewood Red Cross funddrives, March of Dimes Campaigns, and Boy & Girl Scouts fundraisers.
