Abstract
A Nisei (second generation Japanese American) optometrist (Frank Sakamoto, O.D.) confronts racism and questions of identity while living in Chicago. The film was made by Lee Wesley (himself a Sansei, or third generation Japanese American) when he was a student at Columbia College.

Features Sakamoto's real optometry business at 5423 N Clark Street in Andersonville. Other Clark Street businesses seen are Uptown Animal Hospital, Harriet's, and O.M. Nordling Jeweler.
