Description
A home movie shot by Adam Glinka in 1981 that captures leisure time with friends at the "Terrapin Ridge” motel (unofficially called “Polskie Bieszczady” [Polish Bieszczady] after a tourist mountain region in Poland) run by Adam’s in-laws in Elizabeth, IL. The film shows playing in the pool and fooling around. It also documents a nighttime building fire during firefighters' training near Elizabeth. The second part of the film documents a steamboat trip on the Mississippi River in Dubuque, Iowa, and a visit to House on the Rock in Wisconsin. Then the family and friends return to Elizabeth, IL, where they play cards at the motel, spend time on the beach, and have a picnic.
