Description
The home movie shot by Adam Glinka between 1979 and 1980 begins with a New Year’s Eve party at the Warsaw at Night Polish club in Chicago, then shows the Glinka family spending Easter with friends at the Terrapin Ridge motel (unofficially called “Polskie Bieszczady” [Polish Bieszczady] after a tourist mountain region in Poland) run by Adam’s in-laws in Elizabeth, IL. The group then visits the nearby town of Galena, IL, and Mississippi Palisades State Park. The film captures walks, games, and fun with the children, followed by a visit to Brookfield Zoo in Chicago. The last part of the film shows Christmas spent with family and friends at the Terrapin Ridge motel, along with shots in the park and of cycling in the spring.
